After your son was stillborn
By Jojo Jensen

I took it all away.
The stroller
the mobile
the wipes.
Spirited them away to a dark
hiding place
where they now dwell.
It was an assigned task,
joyless, devoid of feeling because
it must be done.
I'm the volunteer that grabbed your
dreams, put them away,
asking for nothing
and taking everything.
