KotaPress is the "creative baby" my husband and I made after our son Dakota died on March 11, 1999. Kota was born-still after a full-term, perfectly-healthy pregnancy. After he was gone, we were crazy with grief. This creature called KotaPress has been kind enough to let me and my husband put our energy and time and love into it. It has kept us very busy as we've created this legacy for Dakota.

And we are spurred on to continue our work once again after the death of our son Mizuko who died at birth in August of 2010. The grief experience is unique to each of us -- and it is unique with each loss. We hope all who are touched by grief will continue to be helped or inspired, in the spirit of the namesake:
