Readjustment
by Nick Bell

Scene: Van Gogh's ex-girlfriend opens
a package, pulls the contents out of the
box, and unwraps a long string of ace
bandages around a small red object.
She grabs the object and holds it to her
heart like a paper valentine and says
"Awww, how sweet."
She then attaches the object to her dog tags like a Vietnam vet.

In my writings I try to fully erase the line between high and low art by making accessible poetry that has a very esoteric side to those willing to look for it. I am a currently unpublished college student who is just now beginning to submit writings.

Editor's Note: You're published now! Welcome to the wide world of published poets :)
