Sunset Rider
By Emily Reynolds

I wish I could go with the sunset,
Observe as it spans out across creation
for all eternity,
Never to be left behind,
Never to be swallowed up by the darkness,
Only to stay in it’s warmth, it’s light, it’s life,
Only to reflect in the quiet stillness,
Only to watch the world go by,
As only the stars ever do,
Forever.

Emily Reynolds: I am 17 and I live in New York. I was born in Maine but I am an ARMY brat and I've lived everywhere from Germany to Virginia. I enjoy collecting everything and writing poetry and short stories. I'm working on my first novel. I plan to go to college to study wildlife biology next year.
