Letter To My Baby
by Stephanie Marrotek

Three positive Home Pregnancy Tests are all I have to prove you existed. To anyone else, you never were. But to me, you were my child. I had already dreamed of carrying you in the car seat, taking Charlie to school. I thought of how cute you would be and how I couldn't wait to hold you. You were only 7 weeks old...so small, yet loved so much already. I will think of you and wonder how life would be if you had lived. I wondered what you would be, a boy or girl, and the other night, Charlie climbed onto my lap and said, "Mommy, you know the baby that died?" I said yes. He said, "I think it was going to be a boy." So a boy to us you will be. I will always miss you and feel the missing piece that you are in our family. I am sure that your big sister Amanda Joy is taking care of you in Heaven. Give her a kiss from me, and know that I love you both deeply in my heart. HUGS and love, Your mommy, Stephanie January 2, 2004

Written for Baby Bean, who was miscarried Dec 21, 2003 at 7 1/ 2weeks gestation. Baby Bean joins his sister Amanda Joy in Heaven. Missed by his mommy, daddy and big brother Charlie.
