Letter from the Editor, October 2002
By Kara L.C. Jones

We have so much packed into our Loss issue this month. It is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, and I hope you'll find support, ideas, help, something here to get you through, to help you raise awareness wherever you live.

In this issue, you'll find poetry, short stories, ideas, information, and more. I hope you'll surf through to read it all. Also want to remind everyone that this is the month in Mexican culture when we prepare for Days of the Dead. In the Poetry Journal this month, there is an article about this holiday -- you may find ideas there, too, for honoring this month with remembrance rituals.

We now offer a site-wide search engine here at KotaPress, too. On the main calendar page of the Loss Journal (where all the 2002 buttons for individual issues are), you'll see a search engine at the bottom of that page. You can now use that to do searches for things like "Pregnancy and Infant Loss" and get results showing you all the articles we've offered in the past several years about that. Hope you'll find it to be a helpful tool.

My heart to all of you...please feel free to be in touch with us as we progress through the holidays. I know it isn't easy. If you have ideas about how to get through, we'd like to hear from you. If you just need to be in touch to say how it's going, we'd like to hear from you. If you just want to say hi, again, we'd love to hear from you. Take care. Breathe. Know KotaPress is a safe space for you.

Miracles to you!
